{"id":422,"date":"2017-08-14T23:16:56","date_gmt":"2017-08-15T04:16:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iwbap.com\/?page_id=422"},"modified":"2022-09-09T22:32:45","modified_gmt":"2022-09-10T03:32:45","slug":"guide-to-making-your-practical-test-go-smoothly","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/iwbap.com\/?page_id=422","title":{"rendered":"Guide to making your Practical Test go smoothly"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>I expect every applicant is ready to take the practical test<\/li>\n<li>This means you have the training for the rating you are seeking<\/li>\n<li>Your logbook is complete, totaled and signed<\/li>\n<li>You have looked up and written down the topics missed on your written exam<\/li>\n<li>Be sure you meet the time, distance and training requirements for the rating sought<\/li>\n<li>Endorsements are complete and up to date &nbsp;(AC 61-65H)<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t forget 61.39 endorsement for every flight test<\/li>\n<li>A 61.49 endorsement is required for a retest<\/li>\n<li>The aircraft logs are current and compliant<\/li>\n<li>The aircraft is airworthy<\/li>\n<li>The 8710-1 form is complete and accurate &nbsp;(It is the recommending instructors responsibility to ensure the 8710-1 form is correct)<\/li>\n<li>For Private applicants: Total time is equal to Instruction Received plus Solo\/Pic time.<\/li>\n<li>Solo time is only logged before you have received your Private pilot rating.<\/li>\n<li>Box II on the 8710-1 is for the airplane to be used for the test.&nbsp; For example, if you are using a 172P do not include the time you have in a 172N.&nbsp; Use only the 172P time.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant is familiar with the ACS or PTS that is appropriate for the rating sought<\/li>\n<li>The applicant has their photo ID, FTN, Username and Password and Medical (if required) available<\/li>\n<li>I suggest you use the &#8220;Do Not Use&#8221; option for the Social Security Number.&nbsp; If you use your Social Security Number on the 8710-1 be sure that you have proof that it is your SSN.<\/li>\n<li>Use the same identifier you used for box II (A)(1) for Aircraft to be used: (See below)<\/li>\n<li>Do not leave II(A)(2)(b) blank.&nbsp; 0 hours is acceptable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"930\" height=\"51\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iwbap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Capture.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iwbap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Capture.png 930w, https:\/\/iwbap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Capture-300x16.png 300w, https:\/\/iwbap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Capture-768x42.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 930px) 100vw, 930px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">         You must have logged as per 61.107, ground instruction.   Be sure your instructor has entered the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">          ground instruction in your logbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">          If you have reviewed (line by line) the appropriate ACS or PTS for your test, with your instructor, you     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">          will be familiar with the questions I must ask you to certify you for the certificate or rating you are              <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">          applying for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have information Alpha.
